Social Networking

I do not use facebook because I think it is a waste of time and I would never go on it. I have a cell phone and use it to call people and text with it, I do text my parents sometime. I use my phone to communicate with people in parts of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

2 Million Minutes

• 55% of American students wont take any mathe past two years
• Ameriacn students dont really know what they want to do, Chinesse and Indian students know exactly what they want
• 93% of American students are tought science by a techer with no or little knowledge
• Chinees and Indian students try harder in school because they often want to get out of poverty
• I do alot of home work in geography but not a lot in math, i find math is easy and geography is easy too but we get so much homework
• I dont think anything is a waste
• American students spend about 900 hours in a classroom and 1500 hours behind a t.v

• The more laguages you know the more oportunities you willl have in the future

What's Wal-Mart up to?

- Company will continue to grow
- Started in one room building
- Wal-Mart build stores in small towns and have made a lot of people loose there home
- Wal-Mart drives down retail wages $3 billion a year
- Wal-Mart doesn't actually care about employes, they dont get good health care, cant afford to pay for kids day care, and a lot of emplayes cant afford lunch, they dont even pay there employes enough money that they need to go on welfare

- Wal-Mart doesn't pay over time but workers are threatend of there job if they dont work over time

KingFisher owns a private jet that could mormaly carry 130 people
India wants to make a vehicle that beaks the American cars
India used to be second at everything but they have really strived to be first and have made it in a lot of ways
Indian econamy collaped during a war
Doctors in India examine CT scans and x-rays from the USA sent to them via the internet
Two realitys - middle class or countryside people
Cotton is the crulest crop, filled with disease
There is a list of Indians that killed themself because of debt
Most families only have a handfull of food to last three days
On one side of India there is a party with the richest people and all the most expensive cars, and on the other side is rashands for food and poverty
A days work for alot of Indians only gets them 50 Rupees = $1.08 Canadian
Bangalore - A lot of education in this part of India
Silicon Valley - Apple computers are designed in Silicon Valley, California
Parents save up all there money so there kids can go to a private school because the public schools are over crowded.
English is the language everyone wants to learn in India even though there is about 22 Indian languages
Language gives you power
Workers at plant in India get a yoga class, a computer class, library, and a room
You are very lucky if you get a computer in your village


I think it is good for India that they are getting back on track after there econamy crashed

we dont have easy access to relivent things
the sixth sense is a camera with a projecter that can do almost anything, like take picteres, scan products, call people, and you can project the image on any surface

i think there is enough oppertunity to use technology in school if you take the right courses
The world has sped up a lot but education hasn't - students still cant use cell phones in school for education
at some point does the increase of technology deminish productivity

Social Networking

I do not have facebook, i know a lot of other people do but I would never use it. I have a cell phone and I text alot. Having a cell phone is a very easy wat to communicate with your friends and family. I will text my friend if we want to hang out. I have an x-box and talk with my friends on that as well. I think a cell phone is the easiest way to communicate with your friends and family. I only talk to people in Canada, most of the people are in Winnipeg but some people are in other parts of Canada. I text with mostly my friends and somtimes my mom and dad just to tell them where I am. I hate not having my cell phone if I forget it some where I cant stand it, I need to have it.
